Let's Have a Conversation
What Is the Veterans Independence Program (VIP)?
Parkwood Home Care works closely with the Veterans Independence Program (VIP) to ensure qualified veterans receive excellent, affordable home care services. VIP is a government-funded program that provides annual, tax-free financial support to help veterans remain safely in their own homes.
Veterans may qualify for VIP funding if they:
- Receive a qualified disability benefit
- Qualify for the War Veterans Allowance
- Receive Prisoner of War Compensation
- Are eligible for a Contract Bed or Priority Access Bed in a long-term care facility but cannot access one
Our experienced team is happy to guide veterans and families in Halifax, Dartmouth, and nearby communities through the application and care coordination process.
